Georgia Capital is looking for talented professional for the position of Economist.
Economist will report to Chief Economist and have inter alia the following responsibilities:
- Forecasting of main economic variables using mathematical models and statistical techniques;
- Performing a comprehensive macro research on requested topics and writing reports on key findings;
- Compiling, analyzing and reporting data to explain key macroeconomic developments;
- Preparing regular macro releases, presentations, thematic notes, and other communication materials on a regular basis and upon request;
We are inviting all talented Economists who meet the following qualifications to apply:
- Master’s degree in economics, math, physics or related field
- At least one year of working experience in macroeconomic research and macro modeling
- Strong technical skills in econometrics and statistics
- Excellent written communication skills to prepare convincing reports/notes/presentations;
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong work ethic, with the ability to operate with limited supervision
- Strong track-record of being a fast learner and need for personal and professional growth and development
The selection process will comprise of interviews with Executive Director and Chief Economist. Highly successful candidates should demonstrate the ability to execute fundamental macroeconomic analysis. Short-listed candidates will be given assignment to demonstrate their capabilities in macroeconomic forecasting and modeling;
Compensation scheme:
- Competitive compensation package: comprising of a base salary and annual performance bonus (cash and/or CGEO shares)
